Sara Nikfar, DMD
With over a decade of experience in the dental field, Dr. Sara is dedicated to transforming smiles and building strong relationships with her patients. Her favorite part of her job is helping people smile confidently, a mission that has driven her throughout her career. Born and raised in Springfield, VA, she now calls Orlando home, where she balances leading our practice with a fulfilling family life.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Sara’s journey to dentistry began in childhood when she dreamed of becoming a doctor to help others. Her interest in dentistry was sparked during her early teens when her mother pursued a career as a dental hygienist. Witnessing the impact dental care had on patients’ lives inspired her to explore the field. She admired the combination of artistry, precision, and patient care that dentistry required and knew it was the perfect way to make a difference in people’s lives.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Sara earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Florida State University before attending Boston University to achieve her Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Following dental school, she completed a prestigious Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at the University of Connecticut, where she honed her skills in a range of dental procedures.
Since then, she has pursued continuous education in cosmetic dentistry, tooth extractions, and is Invisalign certified. Starting as an associate dentist, she eventually became the proud owner of Nikfar Family Dental, where she combines her advanced training with compassionate care.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
When she’s not caring for our patients, Dr. Sara enjoys spending time with her wonderful family. Married to her college sweetheart, a mechanical engineer and CrossFit gym owner, she finds joy in raising their two beautiful children together. They are avid travelers who love exploring the world and creating memories. In her downtime, Dr. Sara enjoys tackling puzzles, a passion that reflects her meticulous nature and problem-solving skills.
